In the summer edition of the podcast "Im Kunstraum", Katharina Brandl, artistic director of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich and Alice Wilke, guest curator of the exhibition DURST, which can be seen at Kunstraum from 01.07.2020 - 14.08.2020, talk about vampires as metaphors of our present: "The figure of the vampire is a mirror of social processes," summarizes Alice Wilke. What does it mean for contemporary art projects when the present itself suddenly intervenes and the context changes? In addition to a brief tour of the exhibition, the similarities between viruses and vampires will be addressed, as well as the planning of an exhibition during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope you enjoy listening!
