The aim of the proseminar is to provide an overview of the historical developments of three-dimensional art works as well as to examine central questions for this medium. The course creates a historical and theoretical approach to three-dimensional art works by addressing different practices, functions and techniques across epochs. With the help of examples and research literature, we will delineate terms within this field from one another in the proseminar, and we will practice analyzing sculptures as well as installations historically and theoretically.
